Incoming Thunderstorm

As it turns out Ticehurst is close to London- so close that my couchsurfer spent a lot of time there growing up., in and out of Paddington Station.
London is, of course, high on my list of places to visit, if only for the awesome phone booths.
Walking home today it occured to me how nice it is that I've seen another change in seasons. Not something to take for granted.

And now I'm just waiting for the thunderstorm to start up outside :)

Ticehurst?

I was trying to study outside on my balcony but the bees kept bothering me so I came inside to contemplate.

Tonight I'm hosting a guy from Ticehurst, in England. All I can figure out is that it's really really green. Hopefully He'll be able to tell me more :)

Cherry Blossoms

As anyone who lives in Washington, D.C. will tell you, this is the best time of the year to be in the city.

The cherry blossoms are in bloom :) Not only are they beautiful but they smell fabulous. The tidan basin is surrounded by a cloud of pink, the sun is always shining, and all is well with the world.

And for this, we must thank the Nation of Japan, who gifted us with these remarkable trees, and Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, who forbid them to be torn down during the war.
